Shells.
Shells remind me of my time in Australia. Of the vast blue ocean and powdery sand beneath my toes.
A feeling of nostalgia hit me while I was unpacking the cartons that arrived last week. And in one of those was my collection of shells from various trips to the beach. There is this particular one that I am mighty fond of - a large conch with a beautiful natural texture.
I have recently been bitten by the gold bug and decided to experiment with painting the conch gold. And I am quite in love with the results.
